Swiss Residence for Business investors

Switzerland offers “investor visa” to rich foreign investors who invest in a new swiss company bringing CHF 1,000,000 turnover annually.  The designated investment must create 5 local jobs.

Investors and family members qualify for short or long term residence permits  (B) or settlement permit (C) to immigrate to Switzerland with the swiss city of their choice. Major cities are Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Bern, Ticino, Lugano, Montreaux.

Buying an expensive real estate in Switzerland over $1 million, also qualifies for residency in Switzerland to certain country nationals.

There is no requirement to live permanently or move to Switzerland.

Swiss citizenship and permanent settlement takes a long time in Switzerland, compared to other european countries. Swiss citizenship possible after 12 to 15 years of living while settlement permit (permanent residency) requires about 10 years of living in Switzerland.
