UAE has approved decision to grant visa-on-arrival to Indian passport holders who hold valid residency visas from United Kingdom and EU schengen countries, according to Gulf News.
Since May 2017, Indian passport holders with valid US visas were issued visa on Arrival in UAE. According to Emirates website , As of 1 May 2017, Indian nationals holding a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months from the arrival date, and a visit visa or green card issued by the USA which is valid for a minimum of six months, can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days for a charge of AED120 (subject to change). They can apply to extend their stay for an additional 14 days for AED250 (subject to change).
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
According to Gulf News, the decision was taken aimed at India-UAE trade relations in economy, trade , politics and tourism.
