EB-5 extended yet again until Dec 8, 2017

Congress has extended the current EB-5  law to December 8, 2017 with no investment changes currently remaining at USD 500,000 to become US permanent residents.

According to Business Wire India, As per H.R. 601 – The Continuing Appropriation Act, 2018, the President approved and signed to extend existing funding levels and other program authorizations, including the EB-5 Visa Program, earlier this month. The extension beyond the end of the federal fiscal year is an important government continuance.

Congress created the EB-5 Program in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. In 1992, Congress created the Immigrant Investor Program, also known as the Regional Center Program.

The EB-5 investment since 2008 reached $20 billion creating average of 16 jobs per EB-5 investor with almost 10,000 visas issued every year
