Indians lead in getting Swiss Schengen Visas

Switzerland issued a total 428,463 Schengen visas in 2016, according to The State Secretariat for migration statistics .

Indians and Chinese lead in applying for schengen visas to Switzerland. Most Schengen visas were approved by Swiss consulates in

  • India (96,211),
  • China (68,967),
  • Thailand (33,893)
  • Russia (24,131).

As many as 214 Indians became Swiss citizens in 2015.
