St Kitts Six Senses Resort to debut in 2021 creating 300 jobs

BASSETERRE (May 22, 2018): On Thursday, May 17, Minister of Tourism the Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant met with nearly 30 team members from the Six Senses resort, from architects to landscape engineers and interior decorators to construction workers and marketing executives.  The team is already hard at work developing the property, which will be the Caribbean and Latin American debut for the Six Senses brand when it is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2021.

“It is exciting to see the team already hard at work to create what is sure to become an exceptional product and to see how passionate they are about what they’re doing,” said the Hon. Mr. Lindsay F.P. Grant, Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Commerce.

“The Six Senses property will add yet another signature hotel brand to our growing portfolio of accommodations, which includes a number of top lifestyle hotel brands opening in the next few years that is unparalleled in the Eastern Caribbean.

Furthermore, it will provide significant economic benefits for the people of the Federation including the creation of over 300 jobs for our local citizens in the construction phases alone with several hundred more becoming available once the hotel is open.”

The new Six Senses resort debut will mark yet another inaugural property in the region by a premier hotel brand for St. Kitts following the opening of the Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour on November 1, 2017.  It will be set on 41 acres of a former sugar plantation in the La Vallee area of St. Kitts amidst gentle hills rolling down to a long stretch of sandy Caribbean beach.  All projected 70 pool villas and The Retreat will be nestled within the island’s lush natural environment and offer scenic views of the landscape and the sea.
