Montenegro CBI unit publishes forms and agent license numbers

The State Secretariat of Development projects (CBI unit) , responsible for the special citizenship investment program of of Montenegro, has published the first licenses of authorized agents along with application forms for CBI investors and  family members.

The first three licenses issued to three agents are below and these licenses issued from Jun 11, 2019 until Jun 10, 2020

  • Arton Group, License: 001
  • Apex Capital Partners – License: 002
  • Henley & Partners – License 003

Montenegro CBI unit last month announced opening date for accepting applications will be by end of 2019 or by 2020.

Application forms

The CBI State Secretariat unit also published application forms in english for citizenship investors under the special investment scheme.

Applicants had to provide authorisation in the application form for disclosure of personal data to  agent and other competent state bodies in accordance with the law.

These evidences must attached to the citizenship application

  •  Evidence of payment of funds for the costs of the procedure paid into the payment account of the Secretariat for Development Projects, in the amount of 15,000 euros for the applicant
  •  Evidence that an amount of at least EUR 100,000 has been deposited on the ESCROW account for the development of less developed local self-government units, for the purpose of Article 18 of the Law on Regional Development (Official Gazette of Montenegro, No. 20/2011, 26/2011 – amend. and 20/2015);
  • Evidence that an amount of at least EUR 450,000 has been deposited at the ESCROW account for investment purposes under this Program for the purpose of investing in one of the development projects in the coastal region of Montenegro or the Capital City of Podgorica or at least EUR 250,000 Euro for investment purposes under this Program in the purpose of investing in some of the development projects in the northern or central region of Montenegro, except the Capital City of Podgorica;
  •  Proof that in Montenegro and/or another state the applicant has not been convicted by a final sentence of unconditional punishment of imprisonment of more than one year for a criminal offense prosecuted ex officio or the legal consequences of conviction have ceased;
  •  Positive opinion of a licensed agent for assessing international eligibility after an international assessment with due diligence of the applicant, which includes proof of the origin of money intended for investment through a special investment program of particular importance for business and economic interest of Montenegro
  •  Certified copy of passport and identity card for the Applicant
  •  Excerpt from the Birth Register for the Applicant
  •  A marriage certificate for the Applicant
  •  Insurance policy for the Applicant that is valid for Montenegro, which cover health insurance
  •  Certificate that the applicant is not suffering from contagious diseases, issued in accordance with the regulations of the State in which the applicant is a national
