Malta Permanent Residency Program

Malta offers permanent residency to international investors buying maltese government bonds for €250,000 with additional contribution €30,000 to Government. Investors and family (dependent children upto 26 and older parents) will be issued schengen visa or residence permit to live in Malta.

EU/EEA nationals  including from Iceland, Switzerland, Norway cannot apply for residency program in Malta.

The following criteria must be met:

  • €250,000 into government bonds refunded fully after 5 years with no interest.
  • €30,000 one time contribution to the Government of Malta
  • €40,000 processing and legal fees
  • Housing must be rented for €10,000 p.a or buy a property for €270,000

Please note that Maltese citizenship is not possible under this scheme.
