The Vanuatu Government, through its Citizenship Commission and Citizenship Office, wishes to inform all its Citizenship Designated Agents and persons interested in its following Citizenship Programs:
- Citizenship Contribution Program.
- Honorary Citizenship Development Support Program.
That it does not recognize and will not accept any payments made under these two Programs by Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency.
It further wishes to state that the only currency that is being recognised legally and stated in the Regulations made under the Citizenship Act [CAP 112] for these two Programs, is the US Dollar.”
“The Vanuatu Government through its Citizenship Commission and Citizenship Office, wishes to advice all persons who are interested in its Citizenship Programs that there is no Real Estate Option Program attached to any of its Citizenship Programs.”
The Citizenship’s Office and Commission (COC) is a statutory entity established by the Vanuatu Citizenship Act [Cap 112].
The amendments to Citizenship Act Regulation [Cap 112] sets the new prices for two programs
1. Citizenship Development Support Program
The following categories of fees are prescribed for persons applying for citizenship under the Development Support program:
- (a) for a single person applying for citizenship 80,000 USD;
- (b) for a married couple applying for citizenship -100,000 USD;
- (c) for a married couple plus a child under 18 years ofage – 115,000 USD;
- (d) for a married couple plus 2 children under 1 8 years of age 130,000 USD;
- (e) for an extra dependent child under 18 years of age -10,000 USD; (0 for any extra dependent between the ages of 18 to 54 years of age – 10,000 USD; for any extra dependent aged 55 years of age and above – 10,000 USD.
(2) A person applying for Citizenship under the Development Support Program, must pay an application fee of VT5000 to the Commission for his or her application.
(3) A person who has been granted Citizenship under the Development Support Program must pay a certificate fee of VT10,000 for each certificate that is granted under his or her application. (e) Citizenship (Development Support Program) Regulation (Amendment) Order No. 4 of201S 3 (4) Each applicant must pay a fee of USD2,000 for due diligence checks to be made on him or her and on persons under his or her application.”
Selling prices :The following selling prices apply in marketing the Development Support Program in China Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan:
- (a) for a single person -the selling price must not be less than 150,000USD;
- (b) for a married couple -the selling price must not be less than 170,000USD;
- (c) for a married couple and a child under 18 years of age -the selling price must not be less than 185,000USD;
- (d) for a married couple and 2 children under 18 years of age the selling price must not be less than 200,000USD.
2. Citizenship Contribution Program
The Citizenship (Contribution Program) Regulation Order No. 220 of 2016 is amended as set out in the Schedule.
The following categories of fees are prescribed for persons applying for citizenship under the Contribution Program:
- (a) for a single person applying for citizenship – 80,000 USD;
- (b) for a married couple applying for citizenship -100,000 USD; (c) for a married couple plus a child under 18 years of age – 115,000USD;
- (d) for a married couple plus 2 children under 18 years of age 130,000 USD;
- (e) for an extra dependent child under 18 years of age -10,000 USD; (0 for any extra dependent between the ages of 1 8 to 54 years of age – 10,000 USD; for any extra dependent aged 55 years of age and above – 10,000 USD.”
