OECD removes 5 RBI schemes from CRS list

OECD in its recent update has removed 5  RBI schemes from four countries from its high-risk CRS list.  Currently 28 schemes still remain in the list, as of Oct 22, 2018.

OECD’s analysis of CBI/RBI schemes and will be updated on an ongoing basis.

The OECD in latest press release said that it is pleased to announce that jurisdictions are taking further action to prevent the misuse of RBI/CBI schemes. As a consequence of this action and further assurances and clarifications provided, certain RBI/CBI schemes have been removed from the guidance.  The OECD is engaging with several more jurisdictions and will reflect any relevant developments in its guidance on an ongoing basis.
