Working to further Improve the Individual Investor Programme, says CEO

Malta IIPA CEO took the podium at the 2nd Annual Malta Workshop organised by the Investment Migration Council.

Jonathan Cardona took the opportunity to address some of the often heard of misconceptions about Malta’s citizenship by investment progamme.  He said

The IIP continues to have the most stringent due diligence process in place, and yet it is constantly seeking to improve its practices and advocating for the higher industry standards across the board.

We are also at the forefront in advocating for international sharing of critical information on rejected application, through already well-established channels in institutions.

That is why Malta is disappointed to hear statements based on a lack of understanding and shallow level of research. It is becoming too common for information to be taken out of context, misinterpreted, or misrepresented.

The next few weeks will be crucial for the industry mostly because of the highly anticipated report by the European Commission. Notwithstanding we need to remain cautious in our approach and make sure common sense prevails.

The future of the industry is in our hands, and we are determined and committed to ensure that it is a bright one.
