Portugal has approved 145 golden visas for the month of January 2019, of which 137 approved for real estate investment, six for transferring capital and remaining two for creating ten job positions, according to SEF statistics.
The total investment inflows for January is €85 million euros of which €79m invested in real estate.
The total residence permits issued for investors have exceeded 7000 permits currently remains at 7107. Â A total of 241 residence permits issued to family members

Over the six years, only 15 permits have issued for creating 10 jobs without any investment and only 5% of residence permits (380) were issued for transferring capital for business investment.
The golden visa scheme is creating a property boom in Portugal, rather than creating economic development or creation of more jobs.
