Malta IIP applicants donated €3.5m for philanthropic purpose

Malta IIP applicants had donated  €3.5 million euros for philanthropic purposes. Maltese NGO’s received 550 donations from such applicants. This was announced by Parliamentary Secretary within the Office of Prime Minister, Julia Farrugia Portelli

Today, Parliamentary Secretary Julia Farrugia Portelli also inaugurated new playing facilities for kids living at Angela House, with an investment of €70,000, thanks to donations made by IIP applicants to Claris Foundation. As a result 32 children aged between 3 and 15 years will be enjoying a better life.

Earlier this year, IIP scheme funded New equipment for heart treatment of €950,000 grant by IIP Social Fund.

PM Muscat earlier this year announced, €50 million generated from the sale-of-citizenship scheme will be spent on a massive social housing project that will create some 500 new units.

PM Muscat donated  €5 million to Puttinu Cares foundation.

Malta’s citizenship scheme known as ‘Individual investor program’ offers citizenship to highly qualified, talented high-net worth individuals and families for 1.1 million euro investment in the country. The scheme requires €650K donation to national fund and €150K investment in Government stocks and meeting other conditions.

All applicants had to meet stringent due diligence checks before being granted Maltese citizenship through investment.
