St Kitts and Nevis sign visa waiver with Montenegro

St Kitts and Montenegro signed visa waiver agreement granting citizens visa free access for tourism purpose. The agreement was signed in London between top diplomats of both countries.

In a ceremony this morning at the High Commission, His Excellency Dr. Kevin Isaac, High Commissioner of St. Kitts and Nevis to the United Kingdom and Ambassador of Montenegro to the United Kingdom His Excellency Borislav Banović, signed an agreement to abolish visas between their two countries. This agreement will allow citizens of both countries to enter each other’s territory for up to 90 days visa free.

St Kitts and Nevis launched the economic citizenship by investment scheme in 1983 and Montenegro announced plans for opening new citizenship scheme in 2018.

The visa waiver is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between two countries. St Kitts already signed visa waiver with Belarus and established diplomatic relations with Albania last month and Serbia this month.


Montenegro is expected to join EU by 2025 and announced plans for joining schengen area.
