Grenada consulate Dubai calls for Donations amid pandemic

Grenada consulate in Dubai calls for public donations to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.  So far, the Ministry for Health has announced 9 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in mainland Grenada.

The Official statement issued by Grenada consulate in Dubai said

“In light of the coronavirus (CoVID-19) outbreak, the Grenada Consulate in Dubai is seeking the assistance of the Grenadian citizens, friends, and family to contribute in any way possible to help fight this pandemic.  Please feel free to call 04 578 6562 or email ([email protected]) for details. Contributions can be sent to the Grenada Consulate in Dubai.”

The Embassy further requests all economic citizens to register with the consulate amid the COVID-19 pandemic

More than 3000 CBI citizens are expected to live in diaspora outside of Grenada.  According to the statistics, since the start of the CBI until Dec 2019, Grenada has granted citizenship to 3,384 persons who invested in Grenada under CBI. These CBI citizens form 3.1% of Grenada’s diaspora population living outside the country by the end of 2019.

CBI citizens living in UAE and Middle east can make small donations to charities or government, to Grenada to reaffirm genuine ties to the country.

Last week Grenada CBI unit announced switching to CBI applications digital platform suspending all the paper applications.

The UAE and Grenada have enjoyed over 40 years of strong diplomatic cooperation and friendship, since 1975.

The Consulate of Grenada in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is the diplomatic mission that represents Grenada in the United Arab Emirates, protecting the interests of Grenada and its nationals. The Consulate negotiates with the Government of the United Arab Emirates and promotes friendly relations between Grenada and the United Arab Emirates, developing their economic, cultural and scientific relations.
